Programs for Troubled Teens

Programs for troubled teens are vast, in-depth, and it usually takes an expert to decipher the value and legitimacy of the program. To the laymen, or in this case, the parent, the search for a program is overwhelming. Almost always the parent is at a disadvantage. First of all, the parent is usually distraught and at the end of their rope. Emotionally they are a wreck. Many boarding schools take advantage of parents who are desperate. Many school operate fraudulently, using high-pressure sales techniques to "convert a sale". Moreover, there are many "snakes" out there who have set themselves up to make a large amount of cash by taking advantage of desperate parents. These major snakes come in the form of web sites that offer free services to parents looking for schools.. These services purport to be free services for parents but in reality is scam involving high dollar treason…. where the operators of the web sites receive kick backs from the schools after the child has been placed. Some of these web site operators are making hundreds of thousands of dollars as they take advantage of desperate parents who are under duress. There is no integrity in that practice. Beware of any "free service". You usually get what you pay for. Unfortunately, many parents find out too late.

We are very specialized. Abundant Life Academy is a Christ-centered early intervention school serving unmotivated gifted teens. We serve not only the child, but also the family. We are focused on "restoring the student" to his/her destiny, family, and future. At Abundant Life Academy we desire to minister to all families, but the reality is that we are designed to serve a select group. We don't not build a foundation in our students, we restore it!. What that means is that we serve a formerly good kid from a good family. Our students have seen an outstanding model in their parents all of their lives. Their parents are people of integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness. Essentially, we cant help everyone, but we give our all to those we can help. With those we cant serve our goal is to pass them on to a professional educational consultant who will evaluate the child's specific needs and find the right school or program.

ALA is a program for troubled teens with the intent of helping parents with real solutions. Our goal is to support and honor the parent of a troubled youth who does not fit our student profile. Perhaps for every 50 families that contact Abundant Life Academy , one student will be enrolled. That means that we were not able to serve the other 49 families. Most families contact us after it is too late and their child needs more help then what we provide. Abundant Life Academy is an early intervention school. We work with students who are gifted, yet unmotivated academically. We work with students who submit to general authority, yet struggle at home to follow their parent's rules and expectations. Most parents that contact us have kids who are in need of more "therapeutic intervention".
