“Teen Challenge Prayer Mountain Boys Academy…. Where Life Transformation Happens!”

Today our prayer for you is that you will be led by the Holy Spirit, knowing that “Jesus is the only answer” to restore for your struggling son. Our hope and prayer is that you will find the only true comfort from the Holy Spirit, and know deep in your heart as your faith builds that “God is in Control”. As you view this page on our site we are joining you in the ministry service to see your troubled boy fulfill the purpose God has for him, and that soon he would no longer be one of many troubled boys, but a ministering spirit of Christ to his peers and to the world. 

If you are feeling confused, stuck, and abandoned you are not alone, and these are normal emotions under the circumstances. As a Parent of a Troubled Teen you are probably experiencing a great deal of anguish, discord, and hurt. Fear and doubt are probably your constant companions. Again, any parent of troubled boys would experiences these very emotions. The trauma you are experiencing is real, and it can be debilitating. But do not lose hope and keep focused on the provisions and promises of God.   Keep vigilant in prayer and faith. God is in control and will never leave nor forsake you or your child.

We encourage you will all our hearts to cry out to God in praise, and declare Him Lord and Savior, deliverer… He’s more than a conqueror. No one is ready or prepared to endure to watch his or her precious boy venture down a destructive path. The pain you are experiencing throughout this ordeal will soon turn to joy, we are sure of it. At Teen Challenge Prayer Mountain Boy’s Academy we believe that your son can and will reach his full potential in Christ and be fully restored. At this time your troubled boys needs a safe and nurturing Christ-centered environment where he can be guided and mentored by professional Christ-centered staff. 

Right now, your troubled boy may be feeling angry, rejected, abandoned, or depressed… all by his own doing and at his own hand. Unfortunately, he is probably blaming you and everyone else, shifting the blame, rationalizing, and he is stuck on finding peace in all the wrong things (negative peers, drugs and alcohol, sneaking out, and no longer dedicated to doing well in school). He may seem to be “out of control”, and spiraling downward. But know that God has him in the palm of His hand and He loves your son more than we could ever fathom. This is a part of his journey, his training ground, and God has great plans and a secure destiny for your troubled boy. Soon enough your son will be reconnected to the Master of all grace, Jesus Christ. He will experience mercy, forgiveness, and redemption in real terms and be convinced that God is real and that Jesus died for His sins. We believe that life transformation comes when your son reaches out and takes ahold of the grace and forgiveness granted to each of us by God. 

At Teen Challenge Prayer Mountain Boys Academy, your troubled son will receive a solid education, powerful Christ-centered mentoring, emotional growth, and spiritual guidance. Your son will have an opportunity to see his anger change into peace by the prompting and leading of the Holy Spirit. Your son will have an opportunity to depression turned into joy, an experience that will change his entire life forever. We will always experience trials and tribulations. So, the good news is that your son, through his Teen Challenge experience, will always be able to look back at this time in his life and know how to get out of any troubled spot in the future. Returning to his first love, Jesus Christ.

We also strongly believe in the restoration of the family. As your son progresses through the Teen Challenge Prayer Mountain Boy’s Academy program we expect you to be there every step of the way. There will be many opportunities to experience the fullness of restoration through the “family days” at the Academy. Therefore, let it be known that you and your family will be required to attend “family day’s” to receive Godly counsel, miraculous reconnection, healing, restoration… and fun. 

At Teen Challenge Prayer Mountain Academy, as your son's self esteem (Christ-esteem) grows, the destructive behaviors of the past subside, your son will grow to respect you, honor you, and appreciate all that you have done for him. He will also respect himself, and everyone around him. We join you in your desire to see a new person in your son, a young man with a new heart. Teen Challenge Prayer Mountain Boy’s Academy has been designed to train up student leaders to effectually cope with everyday life issues through the development of self-discipline. In many cases, “troubled boys” are troubled solely on the fact that they lack self-discipline. In many cases, developing a keen understanding and appreciation toward self-discipline can restore their entire life. Therefore, student leaders at Prayer Mountain Boys Academy typically rise at 6:45 a.m. They do chores, take care of their hygiene needs, and then go right to the Daily Devotions, Bible Reading, or Chapel Services. These are essential parts of the Academy and when the student is grounded in these daily disciplines their entire focus and mindset is transformed. They develop a positive outlook on life, they begin to feel secure and emotionally safe, and for the first time in a very long time they will state that they feel as though they are standing on firm ground.

Of course we provide challenging academic accredited course work. To re-establish the student leader to a life that includes education is vital to the overall success of the Academy.   When boys catch up to their grade through hard work they feel good about themselves. They regain the sense of accomplishment that they lost in the rebellion. We focus on grade repair and credit recovery, and our goal is to create college bound life long learners.

In the early stage of your son’s enrollment at Prayer Mountain Boy’s Academy he will go through the accredited Teen Challenge Christ-centered leadership curriculum, known as “Group Studies for New Christians”. These teachings cover many of the basic issues regarding new believer discipleship, basic Christian living, and Christ-centered character development. Personal studies for New Christians with Christian counselors will also be provided as soon as your son shows a deeper commitment to His faith.
In the latter stages of their enrollment at Prayer Mountain Boy’s Academy, students will be involved in more in-depth Bible study where they receive mentorship regarding the experiential Christian lifestyle (how to live as a believer in today’s society). The classes provide instruction on practical Christian living through experiential intensive bible studies, which touches upon the responsibility that each one of us carries to support the Christian community.

Upon graduation at Prayer Mountain Boy’s Academy, student leaders are ready to transition into the perfect educational situation (could be back to high school, private Christian school, community college, or university). Although pursuing higher education has obvious benefits for any individual, it is also vital that each former student gets plugged into a local Church. Being a part of a local ministry is an important part of a successful after care process. Continuing involvement in the local church is critical to the on-going development of any believer, especially those who have come through the battleground of addiction.
