The Family Hope Line philosophy goes against the grain of the pop culture world of teenagers. The philosophy of "live for today", only worry about "the moment", is prevelent with our teenagers. Everything is about "right now" and "who cares" about the future consequences of our own actions. It's everyone else's fault and if we get in troubled we can "play the victim", we can blame others, and shift the blame so that our actions are justified. This lame philosophy is especially true of troubled teens whose parents are seeking positive, reliable Christian boarding schools to handle the results of this faulty philosophy. The Family Hope LIne offers the alternative to the secular thereapeutic boarding schools and stringent military boarding schools . The Family Hope LIne has a unique but powerful philosophy. Our is a philosophy of leadership, grace, and mercy; promoting schools and programs that the skills of responsibility and accountability, humilty, thanksgiving, and appreciation for all that we have in Christ.
The teens who "live in the moment" versus "living for the future" are mixed up in illegal drugs, beer, wine and hard liquor. Sometimes these troubled teens ruin their lives in an exchange for a few moments of fun. This is a terrible price to pay. So much to give up, for so little, but it happens every day across the country. Teens get behind the wheel of a car after a night of partying and sometimes they don't make it home, or they kill innocent people and have to live with the consequences. You would think that their philosophy of being "invincible" would be quickly revealed as false, but the truth is its more like "who gives a darned!" Today, troubled teens just don't seem to care about the consequences of their choices. They have no fear of what these consequences might bring. Moreover, the mentality and philosophy of the teen's world is that they do anything they want (self-realization) and no one has the right to say differently, especially their parents. It is just a big lie! The Teen Challenge philosophy is our "destiny is found only in Christ."

Our teenage children were not destined to be obtuse or rebellious, to abuse drugs, or to react against their parents and authority. The main reason our teens are missing their calling or destiny is because there is an enemy, and the Bible names him... Satan. The enemy is out to take down our children. Satans purpose is to keep our youth from finding their true calling, which is to do good by God and his will for an honest life.

All people, especially the youth of America, were created for a specific purpose. Each of us, including the troubled teens who are currently acting out, has a powerful destiny to fulfill. We each have been given special talents and skills in order to walk in our destiny. The problem is that the enemy is real, and his goal is to keep each of us from manifesting the glory of God through the fulfillment of our destiny in Christ. At The Family Hope Line we promote schools and programs that believe all teens are chosen for greatness in their God-ordained destiny, and they can always choose to walk in their destiny any time they are ready to receive the fullness of Christ.

Today's acting out adolescents are an integral part of God's purposes in the earth. So important is every teenager that God raised them up for this specific time in history. They are all important, especially those who are now rebellious and lost. God saw our every failure, our every shortcoming, our every sin, and still chose us to accomplish His purposes in earth. He chose us to accomplish His purpose before we were formed in the womb, before we were born. Troubled teens need to know this truth, because this truth will set them free!
